Explore the verdant Shunshan Mountain and discover the joys of nature

Date:2025-04-27

On the afternoon of April 26th, Shunguoshan Forest Park welcomed a unique "Green Pact." More than 20 volunteers from the Huaqing Society gathered here for a spring hike themed "Treading the Green of Shunguoshan, Discovering the Joy of Nature," integrating public welfare activities into the event. From the foot of the mountain to the summit, from meticulous cleaning to exploring cultural landmarks and the joy of teamwork, the volunteers measured responsibility with their footsteps and demonstrated commitment through action. Sweat irrigated the greenery, and collaboration fostered genuine connection, adding a pure backdrop to the spring scenery of Shunguoshan.

Afternoon sunlight filtered through the trees, dappling the Shunguoshan trails with golden edges. Volunteers, armed with trash pickers and bags, walked diligently along the winding trails. During the cleanup, they meticulously checked every corner—removing cigarette butts from cracks in the rocks and picking up snack wrappers half-hidden by fallen leaves near tree roots.

As the trash bags gradually filled, when encountering stubborn litter buried deep in the soil, the volunteers worked together seamlessly, using branches to dig, ensuring no source of pollution was overlooked. As the cleanup progressed, the trail gradually returned to its pristine state: the grass, once covered in trash, straightened up again, and the exposed stone slabs gleamed with a rustic sheen in the sunlight. Though their clothes were soaked with sweat, the volunteers' steps became even more determined as they gazed at the newly transformed mountain path.

After the activity, adults and children gathered together, emptying their trash bags and counting their "spoils." Looking at the several large bags full of collected trash, everyone chatted with satisfaction, laughter carried on the mountain breeze, bringing this spring hike to a close, while the seeds of environmental protection had already been planted in the children's hearts.
